About KYSS
KYSS is a skincare and wellness platform built on the belief that your skin is constantly communicating with you ā and learning how to understand it changes everything.
ā
We focus on helping people better understand the science behind their skin so they can respond to concerns with confidence, patience, and clarity rather than confusion or guesswork.
ā
Our mission is to create a skincare and wellness community that goes beyond surface-level beauty by exploring the deeper connections between skin, health, lifestyle, and overall well-being.
ā
Through science-backed education, honest conversations, and community-centered learning, KYSS helps women feel more informed, empowered, and supported in how they care for their skin.
Because skincare is not about perfection. It's about understanding.

THE FOUNDER
KYSS was born from years of learning how to listen to my skin.

I was 10 years old when doctors biopsied my skin because they had never seen eczema present the way it did on mine. Today, my image lives in a medical reference book used to help diagnose dark-skinned children who come after me.
ā
At 15, I was nearly dismissed when I knew something was wrong with my body. An ultrasound later confirmed PCOS.
ā
Growing up, my skin constantly shifted between extremes. There were periods where my eczema became so severe that my skin was painfully dry, swollen, peeling, and almost unrecognizable. Then there were other phases where hormonal changes from PCOS left my skin excessively oily, inflamed, and consistently breaking out.
ā
What made it harder was that most skincare advice never seemed built for skin like mine, or for someone navigating multiple conditions at once. Products were too harsh. Too drying. Too heavy. Too aggressive for my skin barrier.
ā
Over time, I realized skincare was not about chasing perfection or blindly following trends. It was about learning balance. Understanding what my skin was communicating. Learning when it needed support instead of correction.
ā
As a first-generation Nigerian daughter navigating healthcare spaces that often did not fully understand me, I learned early how important self-advocacy was. So I became a student of my own skin.
ā
I studied ingredients, researched skin science, experimented with routines, failed repeatedly, and started over more times than I can count. Eventually, I stopped trying to fight my skin and started trying to understand it. That experience became the foundation for KYSS.
ā
Today, I work as a Neuromodulation Specialist helping patients navigate traumatic brain injury, depression, and neurological conditions. My background in Psychological and Brain Sciences deeply shapes the philosophy behind KYSS ā especially the science of habits, consistency, neuroplasticity, and long-term behavior change.
Because healthy skin is rarely built overnight. It's built through understanding, patience, and consistency.
"Your skin is not failing you. It's communicating with you."

Authentic photographs of me, reflecting my skincare journeyā from dry, itchy, flaky skin at some points to hormonal acne and hyperpigmentation at others. I took the time to listen to my skin and respond by building a skincare routine curated to its unique needs. Having experienced a variety of skin concerns firsthand, I understand the challenges they can bring. Iāve seen all sorts of skin problemsā let me help you tackle yours.
